Fraps files split into 4GB clips?

For some unknown reason all of a sudden my Fraps videos are being cut into 4GB segments after recording for about 10+ mins. There is no drop in FPS or anything like that, the only thing that I have done is upgraded my Fraps to the latest version 3.4.1, I have the full paid version of Fraps. It really isn't an issue as long as the clips I record playback fine which they do, it's just a pain when pieces them together all the time and a simple explantion as to why this is happening would be great and if there is a way to stop it from doing it.

    Thanks.

It has to do with how your hard drive is formatted. Files cannot be larger than around 4GB because of this.

I have read up on it and apparently it has nothing to do with your hard drive, more has something to do with the format in which it is recorded in. AVI apparently has done this to reduce file size or something.

Due to Fraps not supporting AVI 2.0 OpenDML extensions (and using AVI 1.0 instead) the maximum clip size is about 3.9 GB.

Recently, I am using Bandicam. It supports AVI 2.0 OpenDML, so the maximum clip size is unlimited as long as the local Hard Disk has free space available. (Over 1TB/7DAYS) :p
