Hello I have been using fraps for only a couple of times now and so far I like it. I am able to record my flight sim at 60 fps with no problems and virtually no lag in the game. I did notice one thing that I was looking for help on. While I playback my movies in win media player some times the sounds arent qued properly Ive notice that the soundtrack is a few seconds ahead sometimes. I wanted to know if there was a remedy for this. I tried to drop the fps on recording but if I do then I get lagging in game. I dont know why but the game I play seems to want to give the same frame rate as fraps is in. I thought of trying to limit my recordings to 1.5 min but I dont know how to do that. Most of the movies in the very begining have no sound issues to speak of, it seems only a problem after a good 1.5 min. So if any of you can lend a hand that would be great! Thanks!

Media Player may be getting overwhelmed by the large size of the fraps video. Are you converting these movies before attempting to watch them? Does the sound stay unsynced at an increasing rate or does it go back and forth between being out of sync and synced?

Be sure to have "No sync" unchecked in the movies tab options in fraps.

You can also try going into your soundcard options and changing the sampling rate to 44.1 KHz and seeing if that helps.

I havent converted them at all I just watch them as the AVI format they are saved as. Where do I convert them from, I will see if there is a function to do that in windows media player. The sound seems to lose sync about half way through a 1.5 min clip. Its seems to stay out of sync until the end of the move after it happens. I will see if I have "no sync" checked tonight, if these dont work then I will try the sampling rate in my sound card settings. I will let you know how I do tonight, Thanks for you help!

So yea I still cant seem to get anything to sync right when it comes to sound. I tried recording with no sync check and unchecked. I also made sure the sound sampling was on 44.100 like you said. I wonder if I try to convert them if the sounds will come out right. any suggestions would be great!

It won't look as good, but following the steps here: http://frapsforum.com/showthread.php?t=3 will let you see if converting the movie to something else will fix the sound problem.
