Hi there.

I have just started to use Fraps. I want to record video clips from Prince of Persia 4 with sound. However when I want to set the option for Record Sound, I only have the option "Realtek HDA Primary Input", and it makes my microphone record the sound. I wanted to make my primary recording device Line-in in Realtek HD Audio Manager, but it wouldn't allow me. It only allows microphone.

Is there a way to make Fraps record the output audio? If there was already a question like this, forgive me, the search tool didn't come up with anything like this.

I have Windows XP SP3, and Realtek HD Audio.

It sounds like a driver issue, what options do you have checked dealing with sound? Is it something like this:

Both of my options are grayed out. I can't click on them.

Also, I have XP, not Vista. I heard that it's much more easier to configure Fraps on Vista than on XP.

I have just bought this computer, with everything new in it excluding my monitor. I will ask my father which sound driver he instaled the last time, because generally he is the caretaker of the comp, I only use it.

Realtek generally has decent drivers. I've used several variations of their onboard sound hardware on different motherboards i've had in the past. It seems like you're missing something if only your microphone is being picked up as the main recording device.
