Heya guys I need some help quickly.
When I record with fraps I have around 50 FPS. But when I watch the video that is recorded it goes freaking slow somewhere around 0 and 5 fps.
Any ways to fix this? I never had this before ..

Excuse me I forgot to mention some information.
My pc specs are fine and I'm running it on Windows XP Pro 64 bit. When I just record I always have a low fps around 25 or so so I changed my affinity and then I was able to record with around 50 fps. The moment I check out the video I get between 0~5 fps. If I record on halfscreen instead of fullscreen I already get more fps but still not the accurate fps I see ingame. I had windows vista first on my pc and then I didn't have this problem. All the drivers are installed and it seems really like a fraps instead of a computer problem.

the footage recorded by fraps is at a very high bitrate, which can choke some media players with the amount of information being fed into it. Try something like the vlc player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) and see if it handles it better.

I also tried playing with vlc but that didn't went that well either. I lowered the fps to 30 and media player still wasn't able to play it but VLC was. I merged all the small videos into one video and I was wondering if there is a way to change the bitrate or something?

yes, use a tool such as staxrip (explained here (http://frapsforum.com/showthread.php?t=2)) to re-encode it to something else such as h.264 or xvid. Be aware that this takes time to do so you might want to run it overnight if you have a lot of footage you want converted. It has a batch feature for encoding entire folders at a time. The x264 CRF22 default that it loads up with actually gives a decent quality video with good filesize.
The application is pretty straightforward but let me know if you have any questions about it I might be able to help with.
