View Full Version : Audio stopped recording
Hi, Ive been using Fraps for about a year and a half and have been very happy with it, however yesterday I found the it had stopped recording audio. Of course the "record sound" button is clicked on and my audio device volume is turned all the way up, so I am baffled. Can anyone help me fix this frustrating problem? Please help.

Do you have any other applications on the computer that can record sound on the same device that Fraps would record from?
Try seeing if you can still record from those, as it could possibly be a sound driver problem instead of an exclusively Fraps problem.
Also, if you're running vista:
Start > Control Panel
Click "Classic View" in the left column if it isn't already active
Double click "Sound"
Click on the "Recording" Tab
Find the device that gets recorded to fraps video, and double click it. For SoundBlaster cards, this is usually "What U Hear"
Select the "Levels" Tab and be sure that the icon isn't set to mute, and the value is something above 0. Mine is set to 25.
If you have XP then do something similar in the control panel.
